Clinical Supervision
Shanna offers clinical supervision to mental health practicioners and can stand as a clinical supervisor for pre-licensed social workers wanting to improve their clinical skills.
Clinical supervision in social work is a crucial component of professional development and growth, yet we often face supervisiors who don’t rise up to the need for excellence. Shanna offers supervision rooted in the principles of choice, equity, and empowerment. This is an opportunity to make informed decisions about your practice, facilitating growth that align with your values and the best interests of your clients. Through regular supervision sessions with Shanna, or focused supervision on specific delimeas, mental health practicioners will gain valuable insights and guidance from an experienced social worker and supervisor.
“I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept.
Angela Davis
Shanna empowers clinicians while offering a variety of interventions and reflections on these core issues:
- Topics in human sexuality, including sex therapy
- Relationship conflict
- Motivational Interviewing
- Harm Reduction and recovery models
- Sexual health in recovery
- Body Positivity
- Severe and persistent mental illness
- Couple therapy and managing conflict
The educational aspect of supervision, along with skill building and meaningful reflections and discussions, equips clinicians with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate complex cases and ethical dilemmas, fostering professional competence.
Ultimately, it is a transformative process that empowers us both to provide high-quality, ethical, and client-centered services, leading to better outcomes for individuals and communities.
Sliding Scale Fee Clinical Consultation
A little about the sliding scale…..
In my practice I offer a sliding scale fee in order to provide accessible mental health services to marginalized individuals. I provide this work with equity in mind and prioritize services for people who identify as BIPOC, transgender, poor (or grew up poor/working class), immigrants, people with disabilities, and those considered “unemployable” by society. The equity fee is available only to those identifying as such. For all others, please choose your fee from Standard or Pay It Forward.
This is an honor system and I will accept your choice without question.
These consultation fees allow me to continue and provide affordable mental health services for marginalized individuals, and I thank you for choosing to consult with me!
Fee cover a 60-minute consultation sessions with Shanna Fishel, LICSW. Discount available for 90-minute sessions.
